Rosamund Pike
Born in London in 1979, Rosamund Elizabeth Pike is an actress. She is the sole child of a classically trained violinist mom Caroline (Friend) as well as an opera singer father Julian Pike. Her parents worked hard and she travelled extensively throughout Europe during her childhood. Pike was born in Bristol and attended Badminton School. She then began acting at National Youth Theatre. Pike first appeared in the National Youth Theatre production "Romeo and Juliet". She was then signed by an agent following being spotted. Pike also began acting at the National Youth Theatre. While her film debut was a large-budget action film but the film subsequent work was mostly in smaller, independent films such as Promised Land (2004), The Libertine (2004), (for which she received the Best Supporting Actress award at The British Independent Film Awards) as well as Pride & Prejudice (2005) in the role of one of the Bennet daughters.
